From The Jam

Voted by NME readers as the 7th most influential bass player of all time, Bruce Foxton - originally part of The Jam, has several notable credits including being writer and singer of the hugely popular “News of the World” (soundtrack of television's Mock the Week) and “Smithers-Jones”. Bruce went on to play with Stiff Little Fingers for fifteen years and then pursued a successful solo career including collaborations with Pete Townshend of The Who and reuniting with ex bandmate Paul Weller. Bruce formed From The Jam in 2007, playing a sellout UK tour that same year, and since then the band have played in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, The Middle East and Singapore.
